Make-up Trend: Dark, Vampy Lips
Dark, vampy lips are to winter like flipflops are to summer. Lara Dutta is anything but a vamp, but she sure rocks the 'vampy' lip. On his month of Elle India she proves that a creamy, burgundy hue can make a black and white cover look absolutely timeless. Be sure to pair your pucker with a berry blush, like Lara did, to keep the look fresh for the season.Rec: M.A.C Underworld Lipstick

Make-up Trend: Bright Skin
"I always love to show off the amazing skin of Freida Pinto," says makeup artist Jeffrey Paul, who created this look for the actress at the BAFTA LA Britannia Awards in Century City. He prepped the skin with moisturizer, a mist of balancing spray, and eye cream. His real trick, however, was making the concealer work double-duty: "I blended it below the eyes and on the lids, too. It makes a great base for eye shadow."Rec: YSL Touche Eclat

Make-up Trend: Not So Intense Smoky Eye
For Verve's November issue, make-up artist Subhash Vagal gave Deepika Padukone a suitably refined take on dark smudgy eyes. We wanted the look to have a hint of glitter and shimmer, but to still seem very contained. He started by rimming her lash lines with waterproof black liner, then blended a metallic gold shadow up to—but not above—the crease. Then, he swept shimmery black powder across the entire lid for a faded effect and winged it out, he dabbed it along the outter lash line, he then finished with tons of black mascara. This look accentuates the beautiful shape of Deepika's eyes and doesn't overpower her features.Rec: Bare Escentuals Extreme Glimmers

Cory Walia on Fall 2009's Make-up Trends
One of the most well known rumours on the Bollywood circuit used to be that former Miss World, Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan shied away from posing for a photoshoot if her make-up was handled by anyone other than Cory Walia. The celeb make-up artist has since worked on the famous faces of Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Malaika Arora-Khan, Bipasha Basu and Rani Mukherjee, to name a few.
What’s the perfect look for this season?
Berry colors ranging from pink to plum are really in this season. I can guarantee that this fall, the flawless look with heavy mascara and red lips are going to be big. The metallic look is also in. But it’s always best to go with the look that suits one’s personality.
How does one go about achieving that elusive natural look?
To get the natural look keep your make up simple and use colors that are as close to your natural skintone as possible. Use concealer to hide any spots.
And what is the one essential make-up tool for women this season?
A make-up base is very important. It gives a silky feel and evens out your skin before you apply anything else.
Make-up Trend: Lilac Eye Shadow
If not careful with the purple colored family, it can make you appear tired and fatigued. Take a lesson from Chitrangda Singh on the November issue of Cosmopolitan India. Use a heavily pigmented shadow as a liner by wetting a fine brush, dip in shadow, and dab gently along the top lash line, and below the bottom. Add a coat of black liner for extra definition. The subtle halo effect is an easy way to experiment with bold shades without going overboard.Rec: Make Up For Ever Eyeshadow Lilac 89

Hair Trend: Loose and Sexy Waves
I know you guys, it's the fourth Kareena post, but one can't help not notice how the woman is everywhere. Moving on, Kareena looks absolutely stunning on the cover of Femina this month.Which woman doesn't love easy-looking, fuss-free hair? So when a glamorous Kareena Kapoor's hair actually takes 10 minutes, everyone wants to know the secret. Take a three way approach and you'll be golden: Spray, twirl and pin. Spritz strong-hold hairspray along the length of a thin section of hair. Twirl it around two fingers from the ends to the root until you have a round coil, then pin the coil at the roots. Repeat with 20 other pieces around your head, let set while you get ready and unravel the curls right before you leave the house.
